Founded in 1992 by Dennis E. Rice, J.D.A. Custom Homes, Inc. is an established premier custom homebuilder, specializing in unique custom build and design. J.D.A. specializes in building single-family custom homes. J.D.A. works with local architects to offer its clients construction management services as well as architectural and site design.
A Green Builder
J.D.A. was one of the first custom builders in Northern Virginia to offer a multitude of environmentally friendly and energy saving green construction products and features. Green construction can reduce your annual energy costs, and may also provide you with the opportunity to take advantage of green construction tax credits. When building on your own lot, you may also qualify for additional tax credits when deconstructing an existing home.

Meet the Builder:
Dennis Rice was born in Akron, Ohio where he was raised until his family moved to Parkersburg, West Virginia. He attended St. Vincent High School during his time in Akron. He went on to attend West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Doctor of Dental Surgery. During his time at WVU, Dennis took breaks from school to work in the West Virginia train yards and in the New York City shipyards in order to earn his tuition to complete his degree. He moved to Northern Virginia in 1980 to serve in the United States Air Force Dental Core before moving into private practice.
In 1987, Dennis transitioned from his work as a dentist to his career as a custom home builder when he and his family first moved to the Vienna area. J.D.A. Custom Homes was born in 1992 and Dennis has been helping clients to build their dream homes ever since.
Dennis and his wife Christina reside in Vienna. Christina is also a realtor and sells J.D.A.'s homes. Dennis has lived in Vienna for over 30 years where he is actively involved in the community as a VYI basketball and soccer coach and a sponsor of various local charitable organizations.

Jordan and Dennis Rice
Meet the Team
Jordan Rice is Dennis' eldest daughter and an integral part of the J.D.A. team. She also happens to be the "J" in "J.D.A." Jordan is a Vienna native and knows the Northern Virginia area well. She double majored in Finance and Spanish at the University of Richmond and then started a career in Finance. Jordan lived in New York City for many years working in Private Wealth Management for J.P. Morgan. After she left J.P. Morgan, Jordan joined J.D.A. She works closely with clients during the design and construction process to help them facilitate the selections and design for their new home.
Jordan is an active member of the community, coaching VYI youth basketball and contributing to various charitable organizations. She is the chair of the Teen Council for BRAWS (Bringing Resources to Aid Women's Shelters). Jordan is a serious sports fan, avid cook and baker and enjoys traveling the world and trying new restaurants at every opportunity she gets. She is a dog lover and her rescue dog Leon "works hard every day" at J.D.A. keeping a watchful eye on the office from the comfort of his armchair in Jordan's office.

Bronwyn Chace is J.D.A’s office manager. Raised outside of Boston, she moved to Northern Virginia over twenty years ago and resides in Oakton with her husband and five children.
Bronwyn spent most of her career in law firms as both a paralegal and office manager. She has transitioned into the homebuilding realm and enjoys assisting the J.D.A. team fulfill clients’ custom home dreams.
Bronwyn enjoys spending time with her family, attending her children’s sporting events, traveling, and taking long walks with the family dog.

David Lovo Lara is J.D.A.'s foreman. He is on the job site daily partnering with Lucio and Dennis to make sure the construction process is running smoothly and safely.
