Dennis had a vision that has helped him become an established premier custom homebuilder who specializes in unique custom single-family homes. J.D.A. works with local architects to offer its clients construction management services, as well as architectural and site design assistance, in order to create extraordinary custom builds and designs.

They were one of the first custom builders in the area to offer eco-friendly products and features, and they strive to continue to make strides when it comes to building green.

Meet the Builder
Dennis Rice was born in Akron, Ohio where he was raised until his family moved to Parkersburg, West Virginia. He attended St. Vincent High School during his time in Akron. After high school, Dennis went on to attend West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Doctor of Dental Surgery. During his time at WVU, he took breaks from school to work in the West Virginia train yards and in the New York City shipyards in order to earn his tuition to complete his degree. In 1980, he moved to Northern Virginia to serve in the United States Air Force Dental Core before moving into private practice.
In 1987, Dennis transitioned from his work as a dentist to his career as a custom home builder when he and his family first moved to the Vienna area. J.D.A. Custom Homes was born in 1992 and Dennis has been helping clients to build their dream homes ever since.
Dennis and his wife Christina happily reside in Vienna. Christina is a realtor and also sells J.D.A.'s homes. Dennis has lived in Vienna for over 30 years where he is actively involved in the community and a sponsor of various local charitable organizations.

Jordan and Dennis Rice
Meet the Team
Jordan Rice is Dennis's eldest daughter and an integral part of the J.D.A. team. She also happens to be the "J" in "J.D.A." Jordan is a Vienna native and knows the Northern Virginia area well. She double majored in Finance and Spanish at the University of Richmond and then started a career in Finance. Jordan lived in New York City for many years working in Private Wealth Management for J.P. Morgan. After she left J.P. Morgan, Jordan joined J.D.A. She works closely with clients during the design and construction process to help them facilitate the selections and design for their new home.
Jordan is an active member of the community and supports numerous charitable organizations in her free time. She is the Gala Chair for Great American Community Kitchen's annual gala. Jordan serves as the Education & Events Co-Chair for Women In the Building Industry. She is a serious sports fan, avid cook and baker and enjoys traveling the world and trying new restaurants at every opportunity she gets. Jordan is a dog lover and her rescue dogs Leon and Hayek "work hard every day" at J.D.A. keeping a watchful eye on the office from the comfort of their armchair in her office.

Bailey Lynes is the office manager for J.D.A. Before joining the team here, she spent 8 years as the Operations Manager for a home builder in Idaho. She gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in the building process assisting in the completion of 25 to 40 homes each year. Being able to help create a place that someone is going to call “home” is her favorite part of working in the industry.
Bailey grew up in Southeast Idaho near West Yellowstone where she acquired a love of nature. When she isn’t working, Bailey enjoys spending time with friends and family, she is always reading or writing. She is an avid lover of music, and enjoys playing and watching various sports. She currently resides in Woodbridge with her sisters.

David Lovo Lara is J.D.A.'s foreman. He is on the job site daily working with Dennis to make sure the construction process is running smoothly and safely.
David and his wife reside in Alexandria and have two children. In his spare time, he enjoys camping and spending time at the beach.
